About
Currently a Senior Lecturer in the Sociology Department and Director of the Asian & Asian American Studies Program at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. I received my BA from UC Irvine and Ph.D. in Sociology at the University at Albany, SUNY.
My research interests and publications focus on racial/ethnic relations, immigration, and socio-demographic comparisons of assimilation among different Asian American groups. I also practice public sociology through my website and blog at http://www.asian-nation.org/.
