About
My research primarily focuses on inequality. As a political sociologist, I am interested in understanding why poverty and other inequalities differ across countries and over time. I also explore inequalities in labor markets, exploring differences in employment, wages, and the experiences as workers. Some of this scholarship has examined inequalities among university faculty. In all of my work, I consider how policies may reinforce and mediate inequalities. Gender is a central lens for my analyses, although I also explore class, race/ethnicity, nationality, citizenship, and the intersections of these statuses.
